"誇りを持って" 『曖昧』 Vol.1

"With pride" "Ambiguous" Vol.1

DCWHITE Product Planning Department Takahashi's serial project `` Ambiguous ''.

"Shall we go eat somewhere next time?"

She says, ``When is next time?'' ``Where is somewhere?''

I thought to myself, ``Wow!''

This time is this time, and somewhere is somewhere.

Neither A nor B. People have such ambiguous feelings that they go back and forth between A and B.

I think that if people didn't have the feeling of ambiguity, novels and movies would be completely boring.

So, what it has to do with this blog is the most ambiguous part.

I took the JR Chuo Line from Kichijoji, transferred to the Seibu Line at Kokubunji, and headed to Tamagawa Josui Station to complete high school entrance procedures.

The only reason I took the entrance exam for that high school was because it was a new school and there were no upperclassmen.

As a first-year student and senior year student, I thought that no matter what I did during my high school life, I would have three years of freedom without being noticed by the upperclassmen. (Actually, the lifestyle guidance teacher was paying attention to me...)

After completing the formalities, a person who was probably a uniform vendor approached me with a measuring tape.

They told me that they would measure my shoulder width, bust, waist, and inseam and that it would be delivered to my home in a week.

Now, what kind of uniform will arrive in a week?

Since it was a new high school, I didn't know anything about it and had high expectations. The moment I opened the flimsy white box that arrived via courier, the inside of my nose felt hot and I felt a thud.

It's not an emotional "zun". Rather, it was a ``shud'' that was more like a shock.

A maroon jacket (in other words, wine red or maroon) with antique silver metal buttons, black and white houndstooth pattern pants, and a navy tie.

The three-piece set was neatly folded with a comment that said, ``Congratulations on your admission.''

Their uniforms reminded me of some uncool comedians at some end-of-the-road entertainment hall or performers of Showa pop songs.

I spent my three years in high school wearing a button-down Oxford shirt, coin loafers, a stainless steel collar coat in the winter, a maroon jacket, and black-and-white houndstooth pants.

Later, I learned that the area around Tamagawa Josui in Musashimurayama City, Tokyo, was once a thriving industry for sericulture (the cultivation of silkworms).

Silkworms grow by eating mulberry leaves, and mulberry fruit is shrimp tea. I learned that this color became the motif for the uniform color.

Uniform colors, school emblems, and company emblems all embody the founder's ideals.

It is a pure ideal that those who wear the clothes aspire to, without commercial gain.

Particularly in Japan, people spend their entire lives wearing uniforms (the philosophy of the founder).

School uniforms are worn to kindergartens, and although elementary school students do not wear uniforms, over 90% of elementary school students in Kagawa and Okayama wear uniforms.

They go to junior high school with the school emblem on their collars, and it goes without saying that they wear high school uniforms.

University students wore uniforms before the student movements of the 1960s.

Even after entering the workforce, there are uniforms and company badges.

The important thing is to wear the uniform with pride.

I want to study at this school, compete on this sports team, work at this company...

The pride that only those who have made that wish come true must be proud to wear the uniform.

Just as Columbus set out on a voyage to the New World, we aim to be a place of honest manufacturing (white), proudly provide products to the world, take pride in wearing them, and encourage those people to join the community. We aim to become a brand that grows and grows.

The West Point Blazer is a blazer jacket that has the meaning of DCWHITE's uniform, which is a collection of our ideals.
