A nylon pullover with a generous chest and armhole for freedom of movement, held to a relaxed but never slack line by the ribbed neck and cuffs and the drawcord at the hem.

2 lines placed on the left sleeve draw the whole together.
A mesh lining makes it a mid layer through winter and a piece to train in.
The nylon is not flat and featureless but has a natural crease to it, so it reads alongside the textures of American trad clothing: denim or cargo trousers below, an oxford shirt or a blazer above.
