"Comfortable Jacket Madras" holds summer lightness and tailored quality together.

Real Madras cloth, woven in India.

Carrying its plain, warm surface into a jacket through D.C.WHITE tailoring was a bold approach, and a delicate one, and this is what came of it.

The cloth is casual, and nothing at all is conceded in the make.

Interlining is used in measure to hold the shape a jacket needs, and yet the whole make is remarkably light.

The roll of the lapel rising softly toward the shoulder, the natural curve from shoulder into sleeve, the collar line standing close along the neck: the jacket aesthetic D.C.WHITE aims at is present throughout.

A dry-touch cotton-polyester lining is set into the sleeves in part only, which keeps breathability and an easy arm together.

The arm slides through even over a shirt or a knit, so it stays comfortable through the hot months.

The pattern is a large-pitch check, as Madras should be.

Striking as it is at a glance, each panel, body and sleeve alike, is carefully pattern-matched in pursuit of harmony across the whole.

Orderly even from a distance: the D.C.WHITE technique of putting refined air into a casual cloth.

A piece worth adding to the wardrobe, for keeping your own presence while going comfortably with the season rather than against it.
