More details here!

"Heritage Trousers" returns to the oldest structure a chino has, out-pleated with 2 pleats, and works into it the details that read as beautiful now, in the way D.C.WHITE reads them.

The rise is set deep, and from the hips through the thigh the pleats hold a generous volume.

Enough to balance a jacket naturally.

From there it tapers firmly to the hem.

Built on the structure of a chino, the impression is closer to tailored slacks than to workwear: upright and well-proportioned.

The cloth is cotton West Point twill.

A dense twill named for the uniforms of the United States Military Academy, known as West Point, with a mercerized finish that brings out a refined sheen and firmness.

Firm enough almost to stand on its own: that is the character of this cloth.

Here it holds the out-pleats up and draws the shadow of the crease clearly.

West Point twill has been used in military and work contexts, but for its deep sheen and its touch D.C.WHITE treats it strictly as a refined cloth.

The stiffness of a new pair eases after a few wears, and the more they are worn the more they settle to the wearer's body.

In the sewing, the inseam, the outseam and the seat are open seams, so no stitching shows on the surface.

A 50 mm herringbone tape runs inside the waistband to hold its shape, and the turn-ups are finished at 4.5 cm.

Not expression through fading or bulk, but through flatness and precision. Refinement made by control rather than addition.

The sewing is done by a partner factory in China we have worked with for years.

It is certified by the Japan Textile Products Quality and Technology Center (QTEC), and only 2 factories in China hold that certification.

What was intended in production arrives intact in the garment.

A cloth that takes a great deal of cotton, made up as a proper trouser.

Both at once, and planned in a large production lot so that the price stays within reach.

If the flat-front "American Trousers" is the modern form, this is the classical one it came from.

A trouser that digs up D.C.WHITE's idea of carrying Ivy form into the present, and answers it from the classical side.
