IVY B.D. Madras Pullover

This model takes that classical thinking and makes it lighter and more relaxed, in a pullover form and in Madras check.

The cloth is a 100% cotton Madras woven in India, the home ground of shirting.

Light, highly breathable, with a dry hand of its own. It lifts off the skin and stays comfortable at the height of summer.

The traditional Madras check carries a certain nostalgia and good manners, casual and still at ease in the way an adult can be.

Nothing is conceded in the making.

The side seams, for instance, are set at 4 mm where a casual shirt would normally sit at around 6 mm.

The stitch density is 21 per 3 cm rather than the average 18 per 3 cm, which is dress shirt work.

The buttons are attached with a wrapped shank, strong enough for everyday dressing and undressing.

The taste held in those small details is something you feel a little more each time you wear it.

Unlike the regular model with its full opening, the front here is a clean pullover.

The chest is drawn a little wider, giving a relaxed line that follows the body softly.

It hangs well worn out, and goes with shorts as readily as with long trousers.
