Built on the D.C.WHITE standard “West Point Officer Pants”, with a design drawn from the work clothes of artists.

Drip paint, like paint thrown off a canvas or a palette of its own accord.

Over a garment-dyed navy body, 2 colors of paint, sax and white, are laid on in fine marks. The result is more settled than the usual painted chino, and easier to choose for anyone who has passed them by until now.

They work in casual dressing and sit just as naturally with a jacket or a shirt, giving everyday clothes an unforced individuality.

The face they present is understated, and still draws the eye.

The cloth is deadstock West Point twill made to military specification.

West Point twill is a densely woven cloth with a measured weight, a smooth surface and a deep sheen.

Against ordinary chino cloth, the refinement is more pronounced.

With wear it grows softer and glossier, and the aging runs deep.

As ever with D.C.WHITE, a casual piece is made with tailoring technique.

The side seams are open so the stitching stays off the surface, and AMF stitching around the waist and pockets lets the quality of the make register without display.

The silhouette is a wide straight.

Its volume goes with anything and gives an outfit room to breathe.

The flat front stands a little apart from the trend and might look short on dimension, but the weight and gloss of the West Point twill bring out the shape of the whole trouser and keep the line over the hips settled and restrained.

That generous form balances ease against refinement: press in a center crease and lead with the quality of the cloth, or wash them again and again and take the fading toward the look of American vintage. Either is yours to choose.

Even that process of change is something the trouser wears as a story.

The paint is oil-based, so as noted above they can be washed in water.

Wear them without a second thought, and watch cloth and paint turn, wash by wash, into a face that is yours alone.

A trouser that fits into everyday clothes and still carries individuality and a story.

Understated, and certain of its presence. Worth adding to the wardrobe.
