A striped piece, extending the 2-pack T-shirt "Parcel" sideways.
This set holds 2 colors in 1 pack, a white ground and a navy ground, the D.C.WHITE signature colors. Born of the same thinking as the original, it wears an entirely different face.
The pattern comes from the iconic 3-line stripe repeat rooted in rugger culture.
The stripe speaks up, but adjusting the weight of the lines and their pitch brings it to rest short of sporty.
The packaging follows "Parcel".
Slightly oversized, in a translucent parcel.
The silhouette and the specification follow the original Parcel.
The measured room through the sleeve length and armhole is unchanged, keeping the line that sits cleanly under an outer layer.
The back neck is still set a little high, and the front neck rib is finished on the substantial side for a grown-up presence.
The herringbone tape sewn behind the neck rib, which keeps the clean line along the neck from collapsing over years of wear, is carried over as well.
As with the original, the cloth is a smooth organic cotton.
It holds the firmness a stripe needs to read well against a thickness that does not go sheer worn on its own.
Worn on its own as a top, or under an outer layer where it brings a little tension and nuance.
Basic at the core, with one step toward a character of its own.
