A new reading of workwear from D.C. WHITE: the "Tailored Coverall".

Workwear rebuilt from the point of view we know best, the making of a dress jacket.

The utility and function of an ordinary coverall are kept intact, with a more refined silhouette and an easier fit pursued on top of them.

The front takes 5 buttons, so the silhouette shifts with how they are fastened.

A garment with enough freedom in it to be thrown on without thinking.

Its defining feature: a polyester and nylon synthetic, garment-dyed to bring out rich color and a surface with real depth.

The colors are 5 selected shades, pop but with depth, the kind that lift the mood simply by putting the thing on.

- Cherry Blossom

The cherry trees that color spring in Washington, D.C. A soft, refined pale pink, like those slight petals carried on the wind.

- Asbury Park Blue

The deep, transparent blue that opens along the shoreline at Asbury Park, New Jersey.

A fresh blue, the water's edge on a clear day.

- Sunset Orange

The vast sunset that lights the city at Manhattanhenge.

The burning orange that stains the canyons between the buildings, carried straight onto cloth.

- Lefferts Lilac

Dusk reflected on the still surface of a lake in Green Mountain Park.

Pale light and shadow woven into an unreal purple, and an atmosphere with moisture in it.

- Acadia Navy

The night view just after evening, seen from Acadia National Park in Maine.

Drawn from that hour when light still lingers, and a deep, moist navy stains the sky.

Pop, light color gives depth to the flat expression of ordinary workwear and builds a refined impression.

Not only the ruggedness proper to workwear: the know-how of jacket making is poured in, and the silhouette comes out three-dimensional.

Darts at the back shoulder and the inside of the elbow give the form its roundness.

A side body panel (the piece used in a jacket between the front and back panels) builds a three-dimensional line.

At the same time, the ease of movement that belongs to workwear is fully kept.

The sleeves are set forward to keep the arms free, and the back carries enough cloth to move without strain.

Light, easy to move in, and free in how the silhouette is arranged. The practicality of workwear, put to use across the situations of ordinary life.
