Embroidered chino trousers, brought to completion by D.C.WHITE over a long stretch of time.

About 3 years passed between the first idea and the finished trouser.

Samples were made again and again until the expression was right.

The motif across the trouser is the swan.

It was chosen to stand for the WHITE in the brand name, meaning a pure heart.

The brand director visited a river known for its swans, photographed them himself, and selected 3 poses from those photographs. Those are what the embroidery carries.

The swans look randomly placed at first, but every position is fixed and worked out by hand.

Large embroideries scattered at true random would throw the balance of the trouser off, so the layout was drawn carefully to hold natural movement and visual steadiness together.

The scale of the embroidery and the balance of thread colors were adjusted many times as well, so that the stitching would stand up from the surface.

The silhouette is a wide straight, falling from the hips to the hem without suppression.

Swans crossing a cloth with that much presence give the trouser an identity nothing else has.

The cloth is West Point twill, a D.C.WHITE signature.

Densely woven, with a sheen and firmness of its own, it lifts the embroidery off the surface and strengthens the wide straight line described above.

The front is a button fly.

As the name “Vintage Chino” suggests, the details follow the context of a classic chino trouser closely.

The theme of the 2026 spring/summer collection is “Next Vintage”.

This "Vintage Chino" too was made in the expectation of being loved more, not less, as the years pass.

Someone draws the embroidery design, someone passes it to the factory, someone works the stitching.

All of them hold very high skills, and all of them are fewer than they were.

We take real pleasure in still being in a position to make a trouser like this, and we recommend it above all to anyone who shares that feeling.
