The English gentleman's necktie, settled on Savile Row in the early 20th century, crossed to America in the 1920s and, read anew there, became part of American trad.

A small accessory holds a clothing culture handed down across both countries.

"Vintage Tie" follows that traditional form while placing weight on a lightness that sits easily in the way people dress now.

The aim was a balance that keeps the weight of the classic and still enters an everyday outfit without effort.

The cloth is a blend of 50% silk and 50% linen.

The refined sheen and smoothness of silk take on the texture and breathability of linen, and the result reads as a natural slub close to silk shantung.

A restrained luster that shifts with the light, and a certain firmness in the hand, are what a cloth of uneven character gives you.

Turn it over and the back is folded in three, like an ascot tie.

Avoiding the heavy reinforcement found in most ties gives it both lightness and a natural body.

The knot does not swell, and the softness of the cloth falls into an honest drape.

The pattern is a regimental stripe, running down to the right as it should.

It works from a serge suit through to an unconstructed cotton or linen jacket.
