コットンモールスキンを用い製品洗いで仕上げたスーツ"Wesley"。

モールスキンは高密度に織り上げた綿の表面を起毛させた生地。

スエードを思わせる柔らかなタッチと鈍い艶を持ち風を通しにくい厚みがあります。

例えば、フランスのワークジャケットや英国のカントリーウェアにも用いられてきたラギッドながらも端正な素材。

ウールのスーツほど改まらずコットンのセットアップほど砕けない。

そのちょうど間を埋める素材としてモールスキンを選びました。

縫製後には水洗いとタンブラー乾燥をかけ、生地がほどよく詰まり新品らしい硬さの抜けた柔らかな風合いに。

仕上げのアイロンをあてるのは上衿とラペルだけ。

身頃と袖は蒸気をあてるのみに留め、洗いの表情を残しました。

ジャケットは肩と袖付けを割り縫いで仕立て表にステッチを出していません。

一方で衿と前端にはステッチを効かせ輪郭を引き締めました。

胸には箱ポケット、腰にはフラップポケット。

袖口は3つボタンの額縁仕立て。

背面はセンターベント。

総裏仕立てとし起毛した生地でも袖通しを滑らかにしています。

トラウザーズはベルトループを持たずサイドアジャスターでウエストを整える仕様。

クラシカルなディティールを取り込んでいます。

また、腰裏には50mm幅のテープを回しウエストの形を保ちました。

センタープレスは入れずシングル裾で仕上げています。

起毛した生地の丸みがそのまま脚に沿って落ちていきます。

縫製は青森県のクロージング専門工場に依頼しました。

製品洗いを前提に縫い代とステッチの処理を部位ごとに指定しています。
