Chino trousers cut from deadstock cloth once supplied to the military academy at West Point.
Flat front, and yet the densely woven West Point twill, with a wide tapered silhouette built to carry it, gives the trouser volume through the leg.
Vintage details such as the coin pocket and the decorative stitching at the back are kept, while ornament stops there. Open side seams, which keep the seam line from reading, add to the minimal character.
With wear the cloth breaks into wide, unhurried creases and deepens in a way other twills do not.
The navy is garment-dyed over a beige ground, which gives it depth and a restrained sheen.
Produced in a large lot so that a scarce cloth and a proper make stay within easy reach.
