Cut-off shorts made from deadstock West Point cloth that no longer exists on the market.

To bring out the fringed hem and the fine yet blunt crease the cloth takes, they are washed hard and then dried in the sun.

Even after that treatment the restrained sheen of West Point twill remains, so a very casual trouser keeps its refinement.

Ivy Leaguers raised in wealth were often indifferent to clothes, but they cut down the well-made trousers handed to them by their fathers to fit their own size, or out of a wish to push back at those fathers.

Not an extension of fashion, then, but cut-off shorts that came about by accident. That is the story behind the name "West Point Shorts Ivy Leaguers' Cut".

Wear them as those Ivy Leaguers did, with a free hand.

They run slightly longer than West Point Shorts, for a more relaxed look. *That said, the dense West Point cloth shrinks very little in the wash, around 1 cm overall, so if you already own West Point Shorts the same size will serve.

They are washed before sale, so no extreme shrinkage occurs in ordinary wear.
