毛足の長いツイードのグレンチェックで仕立てたジャケット"Andy Glen Check"。
グレンチェックは千鳥格子と細かな格子を交互に組んだスコットランド由来とされる格子柄。
ウール素材に洗いをかけることで、フェルト的に保温性が高まりつつも、ふんわりとしたタッチ感に仕上がります。
これを達成すべく、素材の縮率から計算し最初は大き目に仕立て、それに水通しをするという作業を行っています。
上衿の裏にはタブとボタンを備えたチンストラップ。
例えば、狩猟用のジャケット等に見られるクラシカルなディティールです。
本来は衿を立てて首元を留めるためのパーツですが、留められる大きさにするとラペルを開いたときに主張が強くなりすぎてしまいます。
そこであえて小ぶりに仕立て、意匠としての役割に徹しました。
かなりタイトになってしまうため、首元を留めての着用はできない仕様です。
肩と袖付けは割り縫いで仕立て表にステッチを出していません。
芯地は見返しや衿など必要な箇所に留め、前身頃全体には貼らず軽く仕立てました。
胸には箱ポケット、腰にはフラップ付きのパッチポケット。
袖口は3つボタンの額縁仕立て。
裁断では柄合わせを行い格子の流れを揃えています。
裏地は総裏仕立て。
縫製は青森県のクロージング専門工場に依頼しました。
ウォームなラギッド感が心地よい着用感を提供するジャケットです。
